LAMPASAS, TX — A middle school student has been arrested for allegedly threatening violence at school.
Lampasas ISD said the Lampasas Middle School student was arrested by the Lampasas Police Department after a report that the student allegedly made remarks threatening violence at school.
The district says the school administration, along with the School Resource Officer, immediately conducted an investigation.
The student will be charged by law enforcement. The district says they will follow procedures and policies to take appropriate action in handling the issue.
Lampasas ISD is asking parents to have a discussion with students about using good judgment. The district says students have used good judgment in reporting these incidents to trusted adults.
