MEXIA, TX — A Mexia boutique is teaming up with local businesses to host a special event for the town's graduating seniors.
Contreras Boutique is hosting a prom photo shoot at 307 E. Commerce St. on Saturday, May 2 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
"With Contreras Boutique always being a big part of Prom every year, we are devastated that our seniors are not able to enjoy prom and we want to bring some joy back to their senior year!" the boutique said.
The event is only for Mexia High School's Class of 2020.
In order to keep within social distancing guidelines, the boutique has a google sign up sheet with time slots.
Time slots will be every 10 minutes and no more than 10 people will be in the immediate area at one time.
Contreras Boutique says there will be a photographer taking pictures, but everyone is welcome to take their own pictures within their time slot.
The boutique will be asking local businesses to donate a gift for the seniors.
"Depending on how many donations we receive, we will either raffle them off to the seniors who sign up or guarantee each Senior a gift," the event posted.
