MARLIN, TX — The Marlin Independent School District Board of Trustees voted to suspend the district superintendent.

The special meeting discussed whether to put Superintendent Michael Seabolt on paid administrative leave or suspension.

According to the agenda, the board considered an independent agent to conduct an investigation into district affairs as well as Seabolt's performance as superintendent. They will also discuss possibly approving an acting superintendent in Seabolt's absence.

Seabolt was suspended and placed on administrative leave. Remy Godfrey was named as acting superintendent.
