NAVARRO COUNTY, TX — The Navarro County Sheriff's Office says they tracked down a burglary suspect who had outstanding warrants in another county.

John Neighbors was arrested for burglary of a building in Navarro County after he was found with several stolen items.

Neighbors also had outstanding theft and burglary warrants from Winkler County.

Officers responded to the 14000 block of SWCR 2340 in reference to a burglary of a building.

The victim reported a Mahindra tractor, Troy-Bilt zero turn mower, an Artic Cat ATV, guns, and several thousand dollars worth of hand and power tools as well as other assorted items had been stolen.

The suspect was captured on a camera the victim had at the entrance to his property.

In the photos, the suspect is seen entering and exiting through the gate over a span of a couple of days. On some days, the suspect had property on the ATV.

Officers located tire tracks when they were investigating and found the zero turn mower on the road just a short distance from the property.

The Mahindra tractor was located in the entrance of a property several miles from the crime scene.

Officers say they observed an older model truck in the area and conducted a traffic stop for an observed traffic violation.

Upon further investigation, a number of hand tools and power tools were discovered in plain view in the vehicle. The victim identified the tools found as his missing items.

The suspect also had clothing that matched the photos.

"Although most items have been recovered, the case is still under investigation and more arrests are expected," said Sheriff Elmer Tanner.
