Man arrested after shooting in Whitney

WHITNEY, TX — The Hill County Sheriff's Office has arrested a man after a shooting in Whitney.

On Jan. 25, deputies were called out to a shooting in the 100 block of Waterview St. off of FM 1713 in Whitney. The caller said that three men entered the home and began fighting with another man that lived in the house.

The men demanded money, and one suspect had a gun. They began fighting, and the victim was shot. During the altercation, the suspect was also shot.

After the shooting, all three men fled.

Both the suspect and the victim were brought to the hospital. They are expected to be okay.

The sheriff's office said that arrest warrants have been issued for all three suspects.

Tyler Hernandez was arrested at a home in Bosque County.

Hernandez was held on multiple charges, including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
