A man was arrested after he reportedly shot at Teague Lake.
The Freestone County Sheriff's Office says on March 10, a sergeant spoke with a person who reported a man carrying firearms and shooting at the Teague Lake.
The sergeant was able to confirm that the man was a convicted felon and was not supposed to be in possession of firearms.
A search warrant was obtained for the suspect's residence and vehicle a short time later. Officers detained the suspect as he was attempting to load his boat on a trailer.
FCSO says officers observed a shotgun in plain-view in the suspect's boat. A search of the residence led to the location of ammunition and a small quantity of methamphetamine.
The suspect was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than a gram.
