BRYAN, TX — A man was arrested after trying to evade a Brazos County constable.

The incident happened just before 3 p.m. on March 7 at the intersection of Verde Drive and Forestwood.

A Precinct 2 Deputy Constable saw a black motorcycle with no license plate displayed and attempted to pull the driver over.

The motorcyclist, identified as Alexander Harrison, 33, ran a stop sign and fled from the patrol unit.

The pursuit lasted several minutes and ended on Waverly Drive near South College when Harrison abandoned the bike and fled on foot.

Harrison was arrested after a short foot chase.

After the arrest, officials learned that the motorcycle was reported stolen and that Harrison had outstanding warrants for his arrest.

Harrison was charged with evading arrest, unauthorized use of a vehicle, no license plate and no driver's license.
