CORSICANA, TEXAS — A man who Corsicana police believe sexually assault a child was caught after he barricaded himself in a Brenham home.
Chief of Corsicana Police Robert Johnson said detectives investigated Daniel Christopher Burks and obtained warrants for his arrest for continuous sexual assault of a child and sexual assault of a child.
During the investigation, Burks fled to Brenham, Johnson said.
Brenham police tracked down Burks, who then barricaded himself inside a home.
After numerous attempts to negotiate a peaceful surrender, Brenham police used tear gas on the home before going inside and arresting Burks.
