LAMPASAS, TX — Lampasas High School will transition to remote only learning until December 7 after active COVID-19 cases for students and staff reached 22.

Lampasas ISD posted on Facebook Friday that by the order of the Lampasas County Health Authority, "we will transition the Lampasas High School campus to remote only instruction starting 11/27/2020 until 12/7/2020."

This decision was based on the COVID active case counts for students and staff on the campus having reached 22 as of November 27.

The school is asking parents to watch for symptoms of COVID-19 and seek medical advice if any are displayed:
o Temperature of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or higher when taken by mouth;
o Sore throat;
o New uncontrolled cough that causes difficulty breathing (or, for students with a chronic allergic/asthmatic cough, a change in their cough from baseline);
o Loss of taste or smell
o Diarrhea, vomiting, or abdominal pain; or
o New onset of severe headache, especially with a fever.
