ROBERTSON COUNTY, Texas (KRHD) — A farmer lost two combines to fire, but saved the harvested cotton bales.
The Bremond Volunteer Fire Department says it responded for mutual aid to assist the Calvert Volunteer Fire Department with a machinery fire.
Crews say smoke from the fires could be seen along Highway 6, just west of Calvert.
The department reported fire destroyed two combines, but the farmer was able to save the harvested cotton bales.
Hearne and Franklin firefighters also responded.
