WACO, Texas (KXXV) — UPDATE, 10:10 p.m. - Waco Police corrected their information to update the address as the 3600 block of N. 20th Street.

One man was killed and another was injured in a shooting in Waco on Sunday evening.

More details below from the Waco Police Department:

The Waco Police Department is currently investigating a shooting & homicide investigation where one victim is deceased, and the other is expected to be okay. No arrests have been made at this time.

On August 23, 2026, at 5:02 PM, officers were called to a shooting in the 3600 Block of Alice Ave. When officers arrived, the suspect(s) were no longer on scene. Officers located two victims, a 28-year-old male and a 19-year-old male; officers immediately began life-saving measures. Both were transported to the hospital by AMR. The 28-year-old was later pronounced deceased. All parties involved knew each other, and the Waco Police Department believes this is an isolated incident. Next of kin has been notified.
