AUSTIN, Texas (KXXV) — The Catholic Diocese of Austin installed Bishop Daniel Garcia as its sixth bishop on Thursday.
Bishop Garcia, the oldest of four children, grew up in the Brazos Valley.
According to the diocese, the Garcia family were parishioners of Blessed Sacrament Parish in Cameron.
