LEON COUNTY, Texas (KRHD) — Homecoming mums are arrangements featuring artificial flowers worn by Texas students to express their school spirit for homecoming week.
It's a tradition credited to Baylor University in the 1930's.
Leon ISD leaned in big on the tradition - creating an 84 foot long mum!
Students in a floral design class started on the project the first week of school.
