Grass fires pose a big threat in Central Texas during the summer months.
On Sunday, several departments in Hill County responded to a grass fire on HCR 3138 N. Earlier, crews battled another grass fire at the south end of the county.
On Saturday, McGregor Fire was called out to Sam Bass Road for a grass fire. No buildings were burned, but the fire charred roughly one acre of land.
