HILL COUNTY, Texas (KXXV) — A visitation and funeral service is set this week for Hill County retired Sheriff V. Brent Button.
Button, who died September 20 in Hillsboro, served seven consecutive terms in the position, from 1980 to 2009. When he retired, Button was the most tenured active sheriff in Texas.
A visitation for Button is planned Wednesday from 6-8:00 p.m. at the Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.
The funeral will take place Thursday at 1:00 p.m.
