MERIDIAN, Texas (KXXV) — The Meridian Police Department is investigating an animal attack reported Tuesday evening on E. Morgan Street.
The department says a dog entered a yard around 6:00 p.m. and attacked a two-year-old child unprovoked, causing significant trauma to the child's head and ears.
Police searched the area and found the dog suspected of the attack. The animal was seized and placed in quarantine.
The attack remains under investigation.
