WHITNEY, TX — A heater sparked a house fire in Whitney Monday afternoon.
The Whitney Volunteer Fire Department says crews responded around 4 p.m. to a structure fire with smoke filling the house and alarms going off.
After some searching, the source of the fire was determined to be the heater.
It took crews two hours to make sure all the fire under the unit was out.
