FALLS COUNTY, TX — A deadly crash Sunday evening on Highway 7, just a few miles east of I-35, killed two people and sent two others to a hospital
The two cars involved, hit, head-on, spreading pieces of the vehicles and personal items from inside, across the roadway.
One of the vehicles, a Ford Expedition, with three people inside, flipped, killing one woman.
The second vehicle, a Chevy Cruze had only the driver, a woman, inside.
The woman from the Cruze survived the initial crash but died from her injuries later after paramedics flew her to Scott & White in Temple.
The Falls County Sheriff's Department confirmed the two dead and the two sent to hospitals.
Authorities did not release the condition of the injured parties.
Multiple agencies assisted at the accident scene.
The underlying cause of the accident remains under investigation
