WACO, TX — A popular New Orleans chain that is known for its gourmet hot dogs and sausages is looking to expand into Waco and Temple.

Dat Dog was founded in 2011 and features a build-your-own menu with unique options like alligator, duck and crawfish sausages. For non-adventurous eaters, they also feature all-beef hot dogs, vegan-options, French fries and tater tots.

The restaurant also serves local craft beers and spirits.

CEO Paul Tuennerman is hoping to expand into Austin, Waco and Temple. Including a franchise fee of $50,000, the total investment necessary to open a Dat Dog franchise is between $992,000 and $2,800,000.
