GEORGETOWN, TX — A Georgetown fire engine was hit while responding to a crash on I-35 Tuesday night.

According to the Georgetown Fire Department, fire crews responded to a crash on I-35 around 9:47 p.m. January 26.

The department says Engine Two was positioned to block the scene while crews provided care. Shortly after, E2 was struck by a pickup truck.

Due to E2's placement, no emergency providers or patients were injured.

The department is reminding drivers to follow the "Move Over" law. This law requires drivers move over or slow down when passing emergency vehicles.
