GATESVILLE, TX — The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) says both boil water notices in Gatesville have been lifted.

One boil water notice affected Gatesville Water customers from Hwy 84 from County Road to FM116 due to the presence of contaminants.

The other boil water notice affected customers beginning in the western portion of Gatesville at the Hwy 84 and FM 2412 intersection north to Talley Road including Moccasin Bend Road, Oak Ridge Road, Western Ridge, and Chantry Lane.

The TCEQ says it has "taken the necessary corrective actions to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels, and/or bacteriological quality."

They said testing results indicate that the water no longer requires boiling as of Jan. 17.

If customers wish to reach TCEQ, they may call 512-239-4691.
