FREESTONE COUNTY — Freestone County is holding a free tire recycling event for residents.
Residents can bring their used tires to the county barn of Commissioner Pct. 3 Mike Daniels in Fairfield on Thursday, July 25, to be recycled.
No tractor or heavy equipment tires will be accepted. All tires must be off the rims. People must be prepared to unload their own tires.
Tires will be accepted at Daniels' barn, located at 440 East Main Street in Fairfield, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. or until the trailers are full.
