TODD MISSION, TX — A fire that broke out at the Texas Renaissance Festival Friday afternoon has been contained.

A Texas Renaissance Festival spokesperson confirmed a fire on the festival grounds Friday afternoon, but says it has now been contained.

The call for the fire came in around 2:30 PM and fire units were on scene within minutes, the spokesperson says.

Three booths (#63, #64, #65) were lost, and two booths were damaged but saved near the Polish Pub area of the festival.

There were no injuries reported.

Todd Mission, Plantersville/Stoneham, Whitehall, Tri-County, Rolling Hills, and Magnolia Volunteer Fire Departments responded to control the fire in addition to TRF staff on site.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

The festival plans to open as scheduled for the second weekend of the 46th season tomorrow.
