The Waco Mammoth National Monument has an event where you get to find and keep real fossils!

The class is one of the organization's most popular programs, according to a post by Waco Mammoth National Monument.

Participants can search through sediment brought in from Florida to hunt for fossils from the ancient sea! Rangers are on hand to help participants identify their finds.

The event, Ancient Oceans, is open every day in July from 11 a.m. to noon, and again each day from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m.

The cost to participate is three dollars.

The Waco Mammoth National Monument is located at 6220 Steinbeck Dr. in Waco. For more information, you can call 254-750-7946 or click here.
