25 News is raising awareness and funds for food pantries in Bell, McLennan, and Brazos County on Wednesday, July 8.
For years, 25 News has hosted summer food drives for children in the area who can no longer receive school meals. This year, there is significantly more need in the community, and donations have drastically reduced over the length of the pandemic.
That’s why 25 News is partnering with food pantries across Central Texas and the Brazos Valley to Feed the Need.
25 News will be matching the first $12,000 raised during our Feed the Need Virtual Food Drive.
If you donate just one dollar - you provide four meals for families in need. So if you donate $25, you can feed a family of four for a little over a week.
You can select from the list of participating pantries.

“The mission of KXXV & KRHD is to make a difference in the communities we serve,” says 25 News Vice President and General Manager Adam Chase. “This is why we are matching the first $12,000 raised on July 8th. Our hope is that during this pandemic, our community can rest assured that there will be food on their tables.”
The one-day drive will begin in the Good Morning Texas newscast and continue until the 10 p.m. newscast.
25 News wants to make a difference for families and give hope to those going through a difficult time with the Feed the Need Summer Drive because hunger doesn’t take a summer vacation.
