WACO, TX — The Dr. Pepper Museum plans to hold a free event for people with special needs on Friday. Sensory Sensitive First Friday will be held August 2 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Those who attend will have regular access to the museum. In addition, local organizations that focus on individuals with special needs will also be on-site to hand out information.

The Museum says it "will be extra-accessible during this time." They plan to have sunglasses and earplugs/headphones available for anyone who needs them, as well as quiet areas and "hands-on and engaging" activities set up throughout the museum.

The Dr. Pepper Museum says the event is presented in collaboration with the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program at McLennan Community College.
