WHITNEY, TX — Whitney ISD is raising money for an 8th grade student that was in an accident at his home earlier this week.
They are doing "Dimes for Daon" to help. The district will be collecting dimes, or any other money sent, in the middle school office for the next two weeks.
They said Daon is in the hospital and the familt is in-between insurance at this time.
"We are very proud of the 8th graders that came to the office to ask about getting this plan going. What compassion our kiddos have!" the district said.
