Deputies discover almost 1,200 rounds of ammunition, drugs during traffic stop involving wanted felon

GEORGETOWN, TX — Deputies discovered almost 1,200 rounds of ammunition as well as user amounts of several drugs during a traffic stop involving a wanted felon.

Williamson County Sheriff's Office says deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 2400 block of South I-35 on a wanted felon.

During that stop, deputies located user amounts of tar heroin, Xanax, ecstasy and marijuana. Deputies also located 1,185 rounds of .50 caliber ammunition.

WCSO says ATF has been notified and will be following up on the ammunition.

Two suspects are under arrest for felony narcotics charges.
