CENTRAL TEXAS — Prospective and current teachers, as well as educational support staff from across Central Texas school districts held job fairs in order to fill positions in anticipation for the upcoming school year.
University High School and Baylor graduate Christopher Gaytan was hired on Saturday at the Waco ISD job fair held at University High School.
"I've always worked with kids, I graduated here from University, so I was apart of the Trojan tykes working with those students, and I've worked as a volunteer coach in the Waco community, so I've just always been gravitated to working with people and its something I enjoy," said Gaytan.
Gaytan has been working as a fifth-grade teacher in the Fort Word ISD for some time. Now he gets to come home to Waco and teach second graders at South Waco Elementary.
