Credit card abuse investigation leads to discovery of narcotics distribution

CORSICANA, TX — A credit card abuse investigation led to the discovery of narcotics distribution taking place in a Corsicana home.

The Navarro County Sheriff's Office says around 3:30 p.m. on Monday, July 6, detectives went to a residence in the 500 block of South 19th in Corsicana on a credit card abuse investigation.

Detectives identified five subjects at the home, confirming one of the suspects was the suspect involved with the investigation.

NCSO said detectives were not only able to recover the stolen credit card but several items that had been purchased with the card.

Detectives also observed narcotic paraphernalia in plain view inside the home, which led to detectives obtaining a narcotic search warrant.

Officers executed the search warrant and located evidence of narcotic distribution taking place at the home. Detectives seized digital scales and approximately 8.5 grams of methamphetamine packaged individually and ready for street level distribution.

One suspect was arrested for credit card abuse while one suspect was arrested for manufacture/ delivery of a controlled substance PG 1 > 4g < 200g.
