COPPERAS COVE, TX — The Copperas Cove Police Department is investigating after a man was found shot Thursday afternoon.
Around 12:42 p.m. on January 7, officers responded to the area of Donna Avenue and Hughes Avenue for a report of a gunshot victim.
When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers rendered first aid until Copperas Cove Fire & EMS arrived.
The victim was taken by ambulance to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple and is in stable condition at this time.
An investigation is ongoing. Authorities say additional information will be provided at a later time when it becomes available.
