COPPERAS COVE, TX — A Central Texas community is gathering to celebrate a young girl on her way to beating cancer.

14-year-old Libby Kimbel of Copperas Cove was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma on September 19th of last year and has been fighting it ever since.

The Pink Warrior Angels and Iron Horse Disciples' Motorcycles Ministry have partnered up to do a drive by celebration for her finishing chemo treatments.

A milestone her father says has been nine months in the making.

“She had completed all her chemo treatments form McLane's children's hospital so we just wanted to have a little celebration and just have a drive by celebration for that milestone of her completing chemo,” said Ryan Kimbel.

There is expected to be over 200 motorcycles as well as a jeep club and tons of members of the community all cheering for Libby.

Libby is excited for the support and has a message for the other kids out there fighting too.

“Just stay strong and you can pray about it. (crying for a few seconds) Surround yourself with good people and you’ll get through it. You’ll get through it,” said Libby.

If you would like to join in and celebrate with Libby, Everyone will be gathering near Housecreek Elementary School in Copperas Cove at 11 am.
