CHILTON, TX — A Chilton Volunteer Firefighter passed away Sunday, July 28th at his home after serving his community for nearly a decade.

Sixty two-year-old James Pfrommer volunteered for 9 years and made an impact within the community. His crews say his loving personality and big heart never went unnoticed.

"He was just a fun loving guy and he loved to come and volunteer. We called him our PR guy because a lot of the things we would do, he would have it on Facebook right away," said Rodney Hall.

Pfrommer's full time career was working in a private practice for the Veterans Administration Hospital in Waco. Hall says he also volunteered for the Emergency Service District among other things.

The memorial service will be on Saturday at 10 a.m. in Cook-Gerngross-Green Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud. Anyone is welcome to attend. A procession will also take place with the firetruck he used in his memory.
