BRYAN, TX — Bryan police have located a missing autistic woman.
Police said they were looking for 21-year-old Peyton McVay. She was last seen in her home in the 600 block of Esther Blvd. around 12:30 p.m. on Thursday.
The family looked for McVay for about an hour prior to calling for police assistance because she has been known to hide. Police were searching the area and checking local businesses.
McVay is 21 years old, but functions as a 12-13 year old.
Police said she was located at 8:15 p.m., she was located and is safe. They said as it became dark, she came out from a nearby creek where she had been hiding.
She was being examined by EMS, but she appears to be OK.
