BRYAN, TX — A 17-year-old and 22-year-old were hit during a drive-by shooting near a city cemetery Friday.

Police said on Saturday that they have arrested Tyrone Franklin in connection with the shooting. He turned himself in.

Bryan PD says around 1 p.m. on Friday, November 1, officers responded to the 1000 block of Dale Street near the Bryan City Cemetery for reports of a shooting.

A 17-year-old boy of Bryan and 22-year-old woman of Bryan were driving in the area when multiple shots were fired from another vehicle.

The two were injured and taken to CHI St. Joseph Hospital. The teen is currently listed in stable condition. The woman was transported by helicopter to a hospital in Temple and was listed in stable condition before being transported.

Bryan PD says they do not believe the general public is in any danger based on the preliminary investigation. It appears that at least one of the victims has a prior history with the shooter.
