KILLEEN, TX — A boil water notice has been issued for some Killeen residents due to a water main break.

Residents affected include those living in properties located from 1103 to 1305 Gray Drive, and properties at the following addresses:

  • 1008 to 1306 Culp Drive
  • 1202 to 1317 Franz Drive
  • 1006 to 1118, 1204 and 1216 to 1404 18th Street
  • 1101, 1102 and 1301 to 1303 French Street
  • 1106 to 1110 Glen Street
  • 901 to 912 Diamond Circle
  • 801 to 815 and 903 to 1103 Rancier Avenue
  • 1301 to 1312 Carol Way

The water main break will require interruption in water service to complete its repair, said officials.

Residents at these addresses should boil all water prior to consumption until water sampling results confirm that no contamination occurred. Public notice will be issued when the notice is lifted.

To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking and for making ice should be boiled and cooled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.

The water should be brought to a vigorous rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes. In lieu of boiling, you may purchase bottled water or obtain water from some other suitable source.
