ROCKDALE, TX — Officials are responding to an accident south of Rockdale on Highway 77 involving an 18-wheeler.
The crash occurred near County Road 314, said officials.
Traffic is reduced to alternating one lane of traffic flow. Drivers should also expect periods of time where the entire highway is shut down.
The department is urging people to avoid the area if possible or to use extreme caution if driving through the scene.
Officials estimate the scene will be ongoing until 1 p.m.
