FALLS COUNTY, TX — One driver is dead following a crash in Falls County Thursday afternoon.
Around 2:15 p.m. on Thursday, February 11, Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers were called out to a crash on SH-7 near CR-181, east of Marlin.
Authorities say a Cadillac CTS traveling westbound slid onto the eastbound lane and crashed into a Western Star truck tractor semi-trailer traveling eastbound. This caused the truck tractor semi-trailer to enter the westbound lane and crash into a Dodge 3500.
The driver of the Dodge, 63-year-old Donald Beaman of Thorton, was pronounced dead at the scene. Both occupants of the Cadillac were transported to Baylor Scott & White in Waco in critical condition.
Authorities say no other injuries have been reported. Next of kin have been notified.
DPS says the investigation is still active.
