ROBERTSON COUNTY, TX — Two drivers have died after a head-on crash on Highway 6.

The Texas Department of Public Safety says around 3 p.m., Troopers were dispatched to a two-vehicle fatality crash on Highway 6 and Old Bryan Highway in Robertson County.

Troopers have identified the victims of the crash as Nicholas King of Woodway and Malcom Carlson of Georgetown.

19-year old King was driving southbound in his 2003 Jeep Cherokee while 50-year-old Carlson was traveling northbound in his 2007 Toyota.

An initial investigation has revealed that a southbound tractor semi-trailer was slowing to make a left on Old Bryan Highway. A vehicle also traveling southbound was approaching the rear of the semi when it swerved into the northbound lane and crashed head-on into a northbound vehicle.

Both drivers died at the scene.

The Robertson County Sheriff's Office is asking drivers to avoid the area. All lanes of travel have been blocked.
