3 fifth-graders suspended after threat made at elementary school

KILLEEN, TX — Three fifth-grade girls were suspended from Mountain View Elementary after threatening to commit acts of violence against the school, according to officials.

According to Killeen ISD, the three students were suspended and will not be back at Mountain View Elementary.

Police are also investigating to determine whether criminal charges will be filed.

"We take matters of school safety very seriously and will never tolerate threats against the school by a student or anyone else. School will be safe and secure tomorrow. The safety of our students is always our very highest priority," said Terry Abbott, spokesperson for Killeen ISD.
