NOLANVILLE, TX — A 1-year-old boy is in serious condition after a crane-vehicle accident in Nolanville Monday morning.
According to Nolanville police, they got a call around 9:41 a.m. about a traffic accident on Edwards Drive Bridge across I-14.
When officers arrived, they found a two-vehicle accident at the intersection. It was a crane and a 2006 Nissan Quest.
The Nissan was traveling westbound on Central Texas Expressway and the crane was southbound on Edwards Drive Blvd.
The Nissan entered the intersection and crossed paths with the crane, and was struck.
A 1-year-old boy, who was a passenger in the Nissan, is in serious condition. He was transported to McLane Children's Hospital by helicopter.
The boy was reported to be responding to first aid at the scene, but is in serious condition.
The 35-year-old woman and 20-year-old man were also injured in the accident. The woman appeared to be the driver of the Nissan. They were both transported to Seton Medical Center in Harker Heights by ambulance.
The two adults in the Nissan did not suffer any life-threatening injuries.
Officers cleared the scene around 2 p.m.
TxDOT still has the road shut down and hazmat crews are working the accident.
Officials said the road is expected to be shut down for a couple more hours as TxDOT works the scene.
