FORT HOOD, Texas (KXXV) — The winter weather is causing problems at Fort Hood.

The post says sub-freezing temperatures caused exposed HVAC pipes to freeze and burst in several barracks, flooding the rooms of roughly 25 soldiers. They were relocated to new rooms.

The pipe breaks happened Monday in barracks that have not been renovated. Repairs are expected to take three to four days. Renovations are not scheduled for those barracks until 2028.
