WHITNEY, TX — In a letter to parents of Whitney ISD students, the district announced that a student at Whitney Middle School has tested positive for COVID-19.
The student was present on campus Friday, August 21, 2020, and the name of the student will not be released.
The district is conducting a case investigation and will contact any individuals who came in close contact with the student.
Those who came in close contact with the student will remain off campus for 14 days to ensure they do not have the virus.
