WACO, TX — UPDATE: Vaccinations were originally scheduled to begin on February 11, but to ensure in-store availability the start date has been moved to February 12.
Vaccines will be offered on an appointment-only basis via CVS.com or through the CVS Pharmacy app, and those without online access can contact customer service at (800) 746-7287. The scheduling system will open on February 11.
Because active stores will change regularly based on vaccine supply, CVS Health will not provide a full list of participating locations.
CVS Health will begin to administer COVID-19 vaccines to those who are eligible on Thursday, February 11, 2021, at 70 CVS Pharmacy locations across the Lone Star State.
Appointments will become available starting as early as February 9, 2021, as stores begin to receive shipments of the vaccine.
38,000 total doses will be supplied for the limited rollout directly from the federal pharmacy partnership program.
Participating CVS Pharmacies are in communities throughout Texas, including:
- El Paso
- San Antonio
The expansion of locations will come as more supply becomes available to the company.
“One of our greatest strengths as a company is our presence in communities across the country, which makes us an ideal partner for administering vaccines in a safe, convenient, and familiar manner,” said Karen S. Lynch, President and Chief Executive Officer, CVS Health. “We continue to be grateful for the commitment of our frontline colleagues whose dedication has allowed us to deliver care and peace of mind throughout the pandemic.”
Patients who are eligible to receive the vaccine must register in advance at CVS.com or through the CVS Pharmacy app. Patients can also register via CVS customer service at (800) 746-7287. Walk-in patients will not be accepted.
