Salado hosts Christmas in October

SALADO, TX — For the October 1 edition of Central Texas Living Ann Harder spoke with Maurine Nathanson, president of the Salado Chamber Ladies Auxiliary and Jennifer Clark, publicity chair of the Salado Chamber Ladies Auxiliary.

Christmas in October is an annual fundraiser hosted by the Salado Chamber of Commerce Ladies Auxiliary and is scheduled for the second weekend in October each year. This year, the event is happening October 11th and 12th, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at The Venue on College Street in Salado, TX. This annual event is a preview of the upcoming Christmas season. Each year, local and area merchants display holiday decorations, clothing, jewelry, food, and specialty home decor items. A Style Show featuring models strolling through the booth section will display the newest seasonal fashions. There will also be a Christmas in October Bake Sale.

Admission to the event is $3 per ticket, and kids 12 and under are free.
