Central Texas man, contestant on "Ultimate Cowboy Showdown"

WACO, TX — For the October 15 edition of Central Texas Living Ann Harder spoke with Zane Runyan, contestant on the "Ultimate Cowboy Showdown."

Runyan is a 5th generation cattle ranched from New Mexico, who now resides in Central Texas. He grew up on a cattle ranch, and even went to college on a rodeo scholarship where he studied biology, fire science and EMS.

Runyan was chosen for "Ultimate Cowboy Showdown" out of 10,000 applications. The show was filmed in Alabama, with Trace Adkins as the host. 12 cowboys, including Runyan competed to be crowned the Ultimate Cowboy. The show is airing right now, Monday, Oct. 14 - Friday, Oct. 18 with the finally airing Sunday, Oct. 20. There will be a watch party for the final episode at Backyard Bar & Stage Grill, Sunday, Oct. 20 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
