WACO, TX — For the October 31 edition of Central Texas Living Ann Harder spoke with Dr. Nancy Bednarz, radiation oncologist at Baylor Scott & White McClinton Cancer Center.

Although rare, breast cancer can affect young women, and even men. Screening guidelines typically recommend starting mammograms at the age of 40, and because of this, breast cancer in younger women is often caught in its later stages. It is important to know that if you notice anything out of the ordinary, or if you are at a higher risk of breast cancer, you should always talk to your doctor.
