FORT HOOD, TX — Thousands of dollars worth of donations were given out Monday morning.
The team at the Fort Hood Area Thrift Shop did what it could to honor organizations that give back to the community.
The thrift shop donated just over $66,000 to 28 organizations.
Organizations that accepted donations included Keep Copperas Cove Beautiful, Copperas Cove Animal Shelter, Operation Phantom Support and more.
The thrift shop hosts the community grant outreach each year and the next application window to apply for a grant will open on Oct. 1.
