American Idol auditions for Texas begin today.
Due to COVID-19, auditions are being done virtually this year.
Those wishing to audition can register online starting today.
Once registered, a zoom invite will be sent to audition with a producer of the show.
Auditions this year have never been easier since you can audition in your own home.
"Normally we would be on the road, we would be in Texas right now," said Melissa Elfar, an American Idol producer. "We would be on a bus and stop in multiple cities across the country, bit obviously given COVID-19 and everything that's going on, the safest way for us to continue the auditions and keep the show going and keep it safe for everyone is to do our auditions virtually."
The next season of American Idol is set to air right sometime in 2021.
