The Department of Veterans Affairs will host a telephone town hall meeting on VA Benefits and Special Operations During COVID-19 on Tuesday, June 16th at 4 PM.

Veterans can call in by dialing 844-227-7557.

Dr. Paul Lawrence, Under Secretary for Benefits at the Department of Veterans Affairs, is hosting a toll-free telephone town hall with Texas veterans as part of its nationwide mission to connect with more than a million veterans via phone prior to July 4th.

During the call, Dr. Lawrence will take Texas veteran questions live over the phone. He will also inform veterans of new and existing benefits available to them, such as the Blue Water Navy program and efforts to combat veteran suicide.

The VA expects that Tuesday's call in Texas will carry them past the million-veteran mark; Texas veterans account for nearly 1.6 million veterans, or 10 percent of the national veteran population.

This series of telephone town halls has allowed the VA's most senior leadership to directly connect with veterans across the country to ensure they receive the benefits they have earned, as well as reach veterans who might find themselves in crisis.
